SoundCheck is a fun, family-oriented learning environment that encourages versatile performers. What started as just private singing tuition has now grown into a supportive community of performers, coaches and families.
Our Founder, Coach Zara, started her own singing business in June 2020 out of her Mum’s barn. By the end of that year, she had renovated a commercial space, employed staff, and filled a schedule of almost 100 students.
Now, as SoundCheck is today, we have employed 20+ staff, seen hundreds of students walk through our doors and built an online education community of almost 30 thousand people, all over the world…

Coach Zara is the founder and creative force behind SoundCheck Studios!
Zara is a passionate singing teacher with over 15 years of performance experience, having performed all over Australia. In 2020, Zara began her own Vocal Coaching YouTube channel, gaining great success, with over 2.6 million views and over 28k subscribers in under a year.
Some of Zara’s career highlights include singing at the World Industry Dance Awards in Sydney in 2019, and working alongside some of the best in the ‘biz, such as Jai Waetford, Stan Walker, Ylona Garcia and Buddah Stretch – to mentor young performers in the modern industry.
Zara believes in the power of community and connection in the music industry, and has an incredible network of industry professionals she considers not only mentors but friends.
Zara has studied the Estill Voice Training program and the Institute of Vocal Advancement techniques, as well as having gained her qualification in Vocal Health First Aid.
